King Cup Quarter Final, Saturday 7th April 2007

Preston Athletic 1 Whitehill Welfare 2

Welfare took the lead after 13 minutes. Pryde's free kick was cleared by the Preston defence, where it fell to Andy Christie, who smashed it in. Preston hit back within two minutes when Wilson's free kick from the left wing was headed in at the near post by Laidlaw.

Whitehill scored the winner in the 80th minute. Pryde fed the ball to Walker, who sent a low cross into the box. Preston managed to half-clear the ball, but again Christie was waiting to pounce, and his superb volley booked Whitehill a place in the semi final.
