Whitehill Welfare 2 Dalbeattie Star 0
Whitehill went ahead
in the 5th minute when Devlin (yards
offside according to some reports) shot home past a
startled Wright in the Star goal.
Gary Calvey had a
great chance for Welfare in the 52nd minute but
he shot wide with only the keeper between him and the net.
There were chances for both sides after this but it wasn’t
until the 78th minute that the issue was
settled when Whitehill struck again.
Calvey got the
ball 30 yards out, raced through and shot into the net for
the second.
