Whitehill Welfare 1 Selkirk 0
Selkirk went down to the
only goal of the game after Welfare
missed at least half a dozen chances before deservedly
breaking the deadlock. Wayne McIntosh was the
Welfare hero with the only goal of the game two minutes
from the interval. In a twisting run, he came through a
couple of challenges to slide the ball beyond Watson.
The home side had the best of
the first half and as the half
progressed. Brian McEwan saw a shot cleared off the line
by Moffat ten minutes before the break and it was a taster
for what was to come when McIntosh netted what proved to
be the winner. Livingstone twice went close to levelling
the game in the second half, denied first by Ryan McGurk
and his second effort flying past the post with the big
keeper beaten.
