Colin Campbell Sports League Cup, Saturday 18th August 2007
Lothian Thistle 2
Whitehill Welfare 3
Darren Pryde of
Whitehill Welfare emulated David Beckham when he scored
with a 70 - yard effort which sealed the points for the
Rosewell club in a 3-2 victory against Lothian Thistle.
Pryde's opportunist goal came midway through the second
half after Andy Doig and Gary Calvey had given Whitehill a
2-0 lead. Fraser Ogilvie pulled a goal back before Pryde's
wonder goal then Mark Lothian scored for Lothian in the
final minute.
