East of Scotland Premier League, Saturday 31st March 2007
Whitehill Welfare 5 Craigroyston 4
Whitehill took an early
lead when a cross by Walker set up Malone to net
with a header. The visitors hit back in the 22nd
minute when Calvey headed in a Wilson cross.
The visitors started the
second half well and took the lead when Madigan
shot home through the keeper's legs. Welfare were on level
terms straight from the restart with a long-range effort
from Walker and then took the lead minutes later
when a Lee cross was fumbled by Jack leaving Wilkes
an empty net to roll the ball home.
The scoring continued
when Calvey netted his second for Craigroyston and
then McCall added to their tally.
Craigroyston were soon
pegged back again when Woodburn headed home a Pryde
corner to make it 4-4. Jack then redeemed himself for
earlier mistake with a superb stop from a Wayne McIntosh
penalty and just as a draw looked the likely outcome, up
popped Lee with his last gasp winner.
